1 box yellow cake mix

Mix cake mix according to directions.  Fill Cream Canoe Pan 1/2 -2/3 full. 

Bake according to box instructions for cupcakes.  Remove from oven when toothpick comes out clean. 

Cool in pan on wire rack for 5 minutes.  Remove from pan and finish cooling on rack.  When completely cool, you may wish to cut any excess off the bottom so that they sit flat.

Fill insides with filling.

2 tsp. very hot water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups marshmallow creme (7 oz. jar)
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine the salt with the water in a small bowl and stir until salt is dissolved.  Let cool.

Combine the marshmallow creme, shortening, powdered sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl and mix with an electric mixer on high speed until fluffy.

Combine the salt solution to the filling mixture.
