Beat well: 2 eggs

Add:     3/4 cup milk
            1 small chopped onion
            1 tsp. salt
            1/4 tsp. nutmeg
            1/4 tsp. sugar
            dash of pepper
            1 lb. ground beef
            1/2 lb. ground pork or mild sausage
            3/4 cup bread crumbs (French or Italian are best. May also use soda cracker crumbs and cut down on the salt, or rolled oats.)

Mix well with your hands, keeping it light.

Shape into a meat loaf, and cover with a sauce of:
            3 Tbsp. brown sugar
            1 tsp. table mustard
            1/3 cup catsup
            a little garlic powder if desired

Bake at 350º for about 1 hour.

For meatballs, form mixture into balls and put them on baking dish raw. Pour 1 can of undiluted tomato soup over them.  Bake same as the meatloaf.
